This qualitative analysis identifies sustainable business practices in Lesotho, suggesting partnerships and policies for economic growth.
Lesotho's economy is heavily reliant on agriculture and services, with a significant portion of its population engaged in subsistence farming. The country faces challenges such as climate change and economic volatility. This article employs a qualitative analytical approach to synthesize existing literature and theoretical frameworks from economics, geography, and planning disciplines. The theoretical framework underscores the importance of collaborative efforts between government bodies, private sector entities, and local communities in promoting sustainable business models that foster economic growth while addressing environmental challenges. Policy recommendations include incentivizing farmers to adopt climate-resilient practices through subsidies and technological support, as well as fostering public-private partnerships for infrastructure development that supports small-scale enterprises.
