Genome assembly reveals detailed genetic structure of zebra danio, suggesting insights into evolution and development.
<ns3:p> We present a genome assembly from a specimen of <ns3:italic>Danio rerio</ns3:italic> (zebra danio; Chordata; Actinopteri; Cypriniformes; Danionidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 1 413.66 megabases. Most of the assembly (99.85%) is scaffolded into 25 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome was also assembled, with a length of 16.6 kilobases. </ns3:p>
