The Personal Stack Web (PSW) Protocol specifies a complete, vertically integrated, user-owned digital environment in which every individual possesses a personal node: a persistent, sovereign space consisting of a cryptographic identity root, an encrypted data vault, a modular application framework, a personal AI agent, a web-to-web communication layer, and an optional economic layer. PSW is Layer 1 of the Techmanity Stack, building directly on the Techmanity Identity Protocol (TIP) v9.0. Every PSW node is anchored to a did:techmanity Decentralized Identifier; the Builder Identity Object (BIO) from TIP constitutes the identity core of every PSW node. This specification defines the complete PSW node architecture, the module system with cryptographic signing requirements, the full PostgreSQL data model, the personal AI agent protocol including a response grounding requirement and human-in-the-loop mandate, the web-to-web messaging specification, the permission model, the discovery service, the node API, the Layer 1 security model extending TIP's threat model with eight additional threat vectors, and the governance framework. The Personal Stack Web inverts the current architecture of the internet: where individuals are currently tenants of platforms, PSW makes every individual a platform. The World Wide Web connected documents. The Personal Stack Web connects lives.
