ABSTRACT In this study, the antibacterial properties of three boron‐rich nanoparticles called B‐86, B‐90, and B‐95, containing different amounts of boron (B) and magnesium (Mg), were investigated. Current work reports the antibacterial, antibiofilm, antioxidant, and DNA cleavage activities of the B‐86, B‐90, and B‐95. Maximum antioxidant percent values of B‐86, B‐90, and B‐95 were detected as 98.42%, 95.02%, and 91.62% at 100 mg/L concentration, respectively. B‐90 and B‐95 also caused complete degradation of E. coli pBR 322 plasmid DNA. According to the antimicrobial activity results it was detected that S. aureus and E. hirae were more sensitive to B compounds. B‐86, B‐90, and B‐95 showed inhibition of E. coli cell viability, achieving 99.99%, 100%, and 100% inhibition at 250 mg/L concentration. The biofilm inhibition activity results of B‐86, B‐90, and B‐95 against S. aureus and P. aeruginosa were determined in the range of 80.80%‐99.57%. B‐95 nanoparticles and boric acid affected barley germination in a dose‐dependent manner. Low to moderate concentrations (0.1–3 mg/L) enhanced radicle and coleoptile growth, whereas the highest dose (50 mg/L) inhibited seedling development. B‐95 exhibited stronger inhibitory effects than boric acid, but at optimal doses, it promoted growth. Both B‐95 and boric acid also demonstrated antimicrobial, antibiofilm, and DNA cleavage potential.
