Health care for children suffers amid Medicaid shortages, indicating a need for private sector support.
To the Editor.— With fewer private doctors willing to participate in Medicaid and with the decimation of public sector programs by budget cutbacks, health care for our indigent children has become tragically inadequate. Given the gravity of the present problem and it's certain worsening, what can we do to protect the health of our most valuable and precious resource, our children? I suggest, before it gets too late, that the private sector assume a larger role . . . either by each of us getting more involved in a small or big way.
