This study investigates the impact of digitalization in mitigating corruption within the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), focusing on the Edo State Command. This paper employed a mixed-method approach, combining surveys, interviews, and observational data, and grounded in Technology Acceptance Model (T.A.M). The research examines the current state of the digitalization efforts of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) and its effects on reducing corrupt practices in passport processing, visa applications, and border management. Results indicated that digitalization has significantly enhanced transparency, accountability, and efficiency, leading to a demonstrable reduction in corruption within the Edo State Command. However, the study identifies infrastructural deficits, limited digital literacy, and resistance to change as key challenges hindering the optimal implementation of digital tools. Recommendations include the development of a comprehensive digitalization strategy, strategic investment in digital infrastructure, and targeted capacity-building programs to maximize the effectiveness of digitalization in combating corruption within the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).
