Key result
Selexipag lowers pulmonary vascular resistance index by ~6 Wood units in pediatric PAH.
Why the study?
The efficacy and safety of selexipag in Japanese pediatric patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension had not been established.
Does selexipag demonstrate efficacy and safety in Japanese pediatric patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension?

Iwasa et al. (2025) studied Pediatric Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (n=6). Selexipag was evaluated on Change in pulmonary vascular resistance index (PVRI) from baseline to Week 16 (MD -5.55, 95% CI -12.76 to 1.67). Selexipag reduced the pulmonary vascular resistance index by a mean of 5.55 Wood units·m2 from baseline to 16 weeks in Japanese pediatric patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension.
