The Toyoda Circular Loom was invented alongside the type G Automatic Loom, which is a Mechanical Engineering Heritage, with the aim of solving the issues of large vibrations, noise, and energy loss. It uses the method of weaving fabric in a circular manner. The mechanism for weaving fabric in a circular shape, invented and completed by Sakichi Toyoda, has been patented in 19 countries around the world, including Japan. Later, his subordinates completed it as a machine, and it was exhibited at the 4th Invention Exhibition held in 1932, where it won the Progress Award. This Circular Loom serves as a symbol of the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology, which opened in 1994, and it continues to play an active role today as a 'Teaching Material' for manufacturing and other purposes.
