This study aims to develop a training device that enables a patient to perceive the collision between an obstacle and the crutch during three-point crutch gait. Firstly, the suitable specifications of the sensory presentation device were explored. Secondly, the sole pressure distributions of the experiment participants were investigated, and it was verified whether the developed device could disturb the crutch user’s gait motion. Finally, significances were found in several aspects of the measured gait motions. These results showed the possibilities of the developed device’s effect for crutch gait training.
