Wadsley Defects Defect-rich shear structures fill space with a variety of different block sizes. These Wadsley defects can be associated with additional cation disorder and vacancies where the effect of each upon lithium-ion transport was studied. The resulting insights explained the three-times enhancement found in the diffusivity of a defect-rich sample.
