Pilot program establishes a predialysis clinic in Mexico, demonstrating positive early outcomes for CKD management.
Advanced Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) clinics, also known as Predialysis Programs, have been established in several countries as specialized, multidisciplinary care models designed to optimize the management of patients with stage 4–5 CKD. These programs aim to slow disease progression, address complications, and ensure a timely and well-informed transition to renal replacement therapy (RRT) or conservative management. Evidence shows that such clinics improve patient outcomes, enhance quality of life, and reduce healthcare expenditures by decreasing emergency dialysis initiation and hospitalizations.
