Introduces Word String puzzles for students, enhancing learning strategies in STEM education.
This paper focuses on a new type of puzzle called Word Strings. A word string puzzle involves a list of words that students, in the first phase of learning, become familiar with the words. The puzzles are two dimensional grids that can be completed via several routes, resulting in different scores. Students not only need to complete the puzzle but also need a strategy to optimize their score. Approximately three hundred puzzles, all with an answer key, from a wide range of STEM areas are provided. The puzzles can be used at various levels of education.
