The complex Cu(vim) 2 (DCA) 2 catalyzes H 2 O 2 to generate the reactive oxygen species ·OH, ·O 2 − and 1 O 2 , which vigorously react with BMIMDCA IL to achieve an ignition delay time as low as 21 ms.
