ABSTRACT Co 3 O 4 and W‐Mo 15 S 19 were synthesized respectively by solvothermal method, and then W‐Mo 15 S 19 /Co 3 O 4 composite was prepared by ultrasonic‐assisted synthesis method. The morphology, structure, and composition of W‐Mo 15 S 19 /Co 3 O 4 composites were investigated by using various characterization techniques such as SEM, XRD, EDS, ICP‐OES, and XPS. The electrocatalytic performance of W‐Mo 15 S 19 /Co 3 O 4 , Co 3 O 4 , and W‐Mo 15 S 19 for methanol oxidation was analyzed through various electrochemical tests. The experimental results show that W‐Mo 15 S 19 /Co 3 O 4 exhibits good electrocatalytic performance for the methanol oxidation, which is mainly due to the synergistic effect produced by the catalysis property of Co 3 O 4 and the excellent electrical conductivity of W‐Mo 15 S 19 . Compared with Co 3 O 4 and W‐Mo 15 S 19 , W‐Mo 15 S 19 /Co 3 O 4 has a greater current density (23.33 mA cm −2 ), a faster reaction kinetics, and maintains a good steady state within 12 h.
