Abstract

A bstract High myopia is one of the major causes of visual impairment. Complications related to high myopia include high refractive error with amblyopia, lens and retinal pathologies, glaucoma etc. Pathological lens changes include cataractogenesis at an early age, overgrowth of lens leading to big capsular bag complex, weak zonules and postoperative capsular contraction syndrome. It is a known fact that IOL decentration, rotation and subluxation in high myopic patients are a result of big bag complex and zonular weakness. We hereby present a rare and interesting case of Bilateral Toric IOL Subluxation (out of the bag) after uneventful phacoemulsification on postoperative day one which was resolved by repositioning the IOL back in the bag on postoperative day two in both eyes.
