This speculative exploration introduces a humanoid organic computing system using plant-based principles, suggesting potential future applications.
In my previous papers I introduced SILLY, a new type of AI. What follows is not a blueprint, but a projection - one possible form SILLY could take in 50 to 100 years if its developmental logic were embodied in organic hardware. This paper presents a speculative exploration of how plant‑based distributed principles could be embodied in a humanoid organic computing system. Drawing on the decentralized sensing, signaling, adaptation, and self‑maintenance strategies found in plants and algae, the work outlines a conceptual architecture that avoids all human, animal, and insect biology. The humanoid form is used only as a scaffold for discussing sensing, processing, action, memory, and regeneration in an organic substrate. The system described here is not a blueprint but a projection — one possible future expression of SILLY’s developmental logic if realized in physical form. The paper concludes with a conversational reconstruction of the design process, allowing readers to see the ideas in the same iterative, exploratory mode in which they were developed.
