Stress and Burnout are major concerns in modern workplaces, managing these issues is essential for fostering a healthy work environment. The study presents a thematic bibliometric analysis of 73 documents exploring stress and burnout in Indian workplace settings, using the SPAR-4-SLR methodology to ensure a rigorous and structured review process. The analysis identifies thematic clusters that reveals the causes of stress and burnout. Major contributors include excessive workload, ineffective leadership, lack of autonomy, work-life balance. The study also highlights the role of organizational culture, support systems, and coping mechanisms in either exacerbating stress and burnout. Mitigation strategies that are identified in the study include employee assistance programs, mindfulness training, leadership development, and organizational redesign. The study also underscores the importance of managerial empathy, open communication, and flexible work arrangements in creating a more resilient workforce. Future research directions are recommended to focus on the impact of emerging stressors such as digital overload, hybrid work models, and socio-economic uncertainties. Furthermore, evaluating the long-term effectiveness of interventions and examining the interplay between evolving workplace dynamics and employee well-being are vital for designing sustainable strategies that promote a healthy and productive work environment.
