Abstract

本稿は戦後日本の社会階層研究と，これからの社会学について議論することをめざす．議論は大きく4つのテーマからなる．（1）戦後の「社会階層と社会移動の全国調査」（ssm調査）と関連する階層研究の展開，（2）ジェンダーからみる階層研究，（3）人口・世帯の変動と社会階層，（4）少子化からみる階層格差の趨勢，である．第1のテーマでは，実証的社会学研究を支えてきたssm調査実施の背景としての諸議論を紹介し，考察する．第2のテーマでは，1980年代，90年代，活発に議論された社会階層理論におけるジェンダー的視点について，世帯／家族内の関係に着目して議論する．
