Technical report discusses a new language to script traffic scenarios in 3D virtual environments, enhancing driving studies.
We present the Scenario Markup Language (SML), a practical language for authoring realistic traffic situations. This effort is part of a novel framework for conducting controlled driving behavior studies based on multiuser networked three-dimensional (3D) virtual environments. SML facilitates the scripting of traffic scenarios for behavioral driver studies in networked multi-user online three-dimensional (3D) virtual environments.
