The rule of law and constitutionalism are two fundamental theories and attach in building and developing society. Vietnamese scholars have focused on the rule of law state in recent years, but they did not discuss constitutionalism much. This article will analyze the relationship between the constitution and constitutionalism, the constitution, and the rule of law in Vietnam. The authors argue that there are some prospects in the development path. However, theoretical and practical limitations still exist.
