Examines reading resistance strategies in a female group, indicating the power of community engagement.
Based on micro-political theory, this study investigates how female readers can transform reading behavior into resistance in everyday life.Focusing on the Douban group "Woman in Lit" and drawing on interviews with 20 members, we identify a tripartite resistance strategy: First, establish a reading community on the basis of the awakening of subjectivity consciousness and mutual respect; Second, constantly confront discourse conflicts with other readers, texts, and the publishing industry; Thirdly, transform reading practice into other actions, including recognizing real-world problems, critical reflection and making choices. We contribute to micro-political research by demonstrating the critical importance of materiality and collectivity dynamics in shaping everyday life resistance practices.
