Relation between Heritage, Archaeology and Community: the Case Oc Eo – Ba The site Complex (An Giang Province, Vietnam)

This paper explains the relationship between heritage, archaeology, and community in Oc Eo-Ba The site complex, An Giang Province, southern Vietnam to examine how heritage, archaeology, and community connections in the preservation and conservation of cultural heritage.Firstly, through literature reviews and historical research, this study clarifies the concept of heritage and overviews Oc Eo -Ba The site complex.Secondly, the article uses qualitative data through in-depth interviews with archaeologists, and local people who had worked in Oc Eo -Ba The -Nen Chua archaeological excavation project in 2017 -2020.In conclusion, the paper considers some missings in the relationship between heritage, archaeology, and community which promotes a better understanding of the preservation and conservation process of Oc Eo -Ba The site complex.
