Study analyzes damage estimates in steel-framed buildings, indicating effective assessment methods.
The objective of this study is to calculate threshold values for each damage category within each evaluation item for mid-to-low-rise steel-framed buildings, based on prior research, to compare damage estimation results across evaluation items and examine their validity. After understanding the damage estimation results for each evaluation item, it was clarified that the story drift angle is the most conservative index. Furthermore, the validity of the indicator was demonstrated by comparing damage assessment results obtained through visual inspection of full-scale shaking table test results with those obtained using multiple evaluation items.
