Analysis of batch preparation technologies indicates that batch drying (to 6% moisture content) and partial briquetting without binder are promising for any coke battery. Laboratory data show that these technologies are approximately equivalent in terms of the ability to produce coke of satisfactory quality from batch with a higher content of poor-quality coal. The coke produced is of higher quality after partial briquetting without binder than after batch drying.
