Holter monitoring detects LBBB tachycardia in a patient with baseline RBBB and prior surgical mitral repair.
Case report describing a 35-year-old woman with a history of mitral valve repair presenting with palpitations and baseline RBBB undergoing Holter monitoring.
Warrants EP consultation for palpitations after mitral valve repair; extends understanding of bundle branch block patterns in tachycardia.
A 35-year-old woman with a history of surgical mitral valve repair at age 16 years, underwent Holter monitoring because of frequent episodes of palpitations. Her baseline ECG showed sinus rhythm with right bundle branch block (RBBB) and a PR interval of 120ms, with no suspicion of ventricular preexcitation.
