To text and back again, a vision-language model's tale 2 Cognitive neuroscience, like many fields, has reached a point where keeping up with the literature is nearly impossible.Perhaps even more daunting is trying to deeply engage with and integrate all of the new research and results. The field produces an enormous volume of papers and conference abstracts, and a subset of that work includes explicit neuroimaging evidence, e.g., reported MNI coordinates. It is not hopeless to describe this research. Thanks to the early decision in the neuroimaging community to report stereotaxic coordinates in articles, we have been given a golden opportunity to systematically connect quantitative evidence with narrative explanations.
