The construction industry faces growing pressure to adopt sustainable practices, with the recycling and reuse of waste materials emerging as a promising solution. This paper offers a scientometric review of the current research patterns on recycled and waste materials in construction with its focus on the time frame between 2015 and 2025. The purpose of the study was to map the international research situation, define the major contributors as well as new research topics in the field. The search in Scopus was done to carry out a thorough bibliometric analysis, and it was found that in 2015-2025, the size of documents was 665, the authors were 2,303, and the growth rate was 8.09. The analysis was conducted with the assistance of VOSviewer and Biblioshiny tools by applying the citation analysis, visualization of keywords co-occurrence, and network analysis methodology. The results have shown that Construction and Building Materials (3460 citations) and Journal of Cleaner Production (3035 citations) were the most frequently accessed journals. The themes identified include recycling, waste management, sustainability and concrete aggregates. The findings indicate the increased cooperation on the global level, as 27.67 percent of documents have international co-authorship. To conclude, the research indicates the value of sustainable waste management in building construction and recommends some of the research opportunities worth pursuing in the field in the future.
