Impact of Plagiarism on Research at Osmania University: A Case Study

AbstractThis case study investigates the impact of plagiarism on research at Osmania University, focusing on its prevalence, causes, and consequences. By analyzing incidents of plagiarism reported over the past decade, the study reveals patterns and trends that highlight underlying issues in academic integrity. The research employs a quantitative method, including a survey with faculty and students, as well as a review of institutional policies and disciplinary actions. Findings suggest that plagiarism at Osmania University is influenced by factors such as inadequate understanding of academic writing standards, pressure to publish, and insufficient deterrents.
