Abstract The Pioneer™ Antibody Discovery Platform is Bio-Rad’s biotherapeutic antibody generation service, centered around the Pioneer Antibody Library—one of the largest functional Fab libraries (225 billion unique sequences). Informed by over 18 years of phage display expertise, the library is optimized for therapeutic antibody selection. It integrates SpyDisplay, a proprietary SpyTag-based selection system, and TrailBlazer, a modular platform for rapid format assembly. We showcase data on antibody selection against IL-6R, C5aR, and CXCR4, demonstrating that the Pioneer Platform yields diverse, high-affinity, and functional leads for difficult targets. These candidates show comparable or superior performance to clinically developed or marketed antibodies across key parameters.
