Active Minds, the nation's leading nonprofit mobilizing youth and young adults to transform mental health norms, has received a 1 million grant from Google to support youth mental health and digital wellbeing, according to a news release. The funding will expand the organization's work and amplify the impact of its “Your Voice is Your Power” (YVYP) Resource Hub, a digital platform that helps youth advocate for mental health in their schools, families and communities. Developed in response to the COVID‐19 pandemic, the YVYP Resource Hub has provided thousands of young people with tools, resources and peer support to address mental health challenges. Google's support will accelerate the Hub's expansion and deepen Active Minds' commitment to serving youth — particularly BIPOC and LGBTQ+ youth — through educational materials, peer‐led resources and advocacy opportunities. The broader initiative also includes a new storytelling campaign, regional summits at high schools and college campuses, and continued expansion of the YVYP Resource Hub. With this support from Google, Active Minds will enhance its work in this space.
