Demonstrates improved optical performance in blue quantum dot LEDs, indicating potential for advanced display technologies.
In this study, we systematically explored an integrated approach that combines crystal facet engineering, surface passivation, and additive‐assisted (ZnS precursor‐mediated) interparticle spacing control to enhance the optical and electrical performance of colloidal cadmium‐free blue quantum dots (QDs) and their corresponding blue quantum dot light‐emitting diodes (QD‐LEDs). The synergistic implementation of these techniques resulted in improved photoluminescence stability, suppressed efficiency roll‐off, and a 5% enhancement in luminous efficiency at 150 cd/m 2 , with an external quantum efficiency (EQE) of 18.6% achieved in the optimized blue QD‐LEDs. These findings underscore the importance of comprehensive modulation of both the atomic‐scale surface structure and the bulk layer morphology of QDs, establishing a robust pathway for the advancement of next‐generation display technologies.
