Quantitative analysis reveals predictions about gravitational waves in black hole mergers, suggesting new insights into energy dynamics.
We present three falsifiable predictions concerning gravitational wave observations by the Einstein Telescope (ET). We demonstrate using LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA data (GWTC, 171 binary black hole mergers) that including remnant spin energy in the thermodynamic energy budget reduces dispersion from 20% to 5%. We predict that the remaining dispersion will vanish when the gravitational wave memory effect becomes measurable. Three predictions are formulated: (1) thermodynamic exactness of the radiated-rotational-memory triplet, (2) statistical independence of the three energy components, and (3) a mass-independent regime change in the merger rate at redshift z~10-15. All predictions include explicit falsification criteria.
