Abstract

One of the primary paths of the Yoga tradition originated in India. Bhakti Yoga addresses the emotional systemin the human heart of love, devotion, and reverence between the soul and the divine. In contrast, other Yoga pathsemphasize discipline of the body, senses, or mind. The review examines how Bhakti Yoga helps lead a balancedlife and overall well-being, especially in the stressful and fragmented conditions of modern life. This path leadsthe practitioner to inner purity and mental balance. With its focus on devotion and dedication, it can develop ratherthan bring about profound positive changes in a person's life. The path of Bhakti enables the practitioner to movefrom a self-centred life to an other-centred life, paving the way not only for spiritual advancement but also forsocial harmony and the upliftment of human values. Bhakti's core is the feeling of non-violence, deep faith, andselfless devotion. Established research in psychology and neuroscience has shown that the path of Bhakti Yogaactivates the parasympathetic nervous system, reduces stress hormones, and can strengthen positive emotions likecompassion, hope, and dedication. In this, practices like chanting, kirtan, bhajan, satsang, and prayer provide theseeker emotional peace, inner joy, and social harmony. So, on this basis, the path of Bhakti is an ancient butrelevant method to live a balanced and meaningful life in today's stressful lifestyle, which orients humanitytowards all-around welfare.
