The Semmering Base Tunnel was constructed from several intermediate access points, which required the establishment of the necessary construction sites. At these sites, slope cuts with related support measures had to be carried out. This article describes the approach taken in planning the support measures for two of these slope cuts, as well as the adjustments that became necessary during the different planning phases as the project progressed.
