EcoTrack estimates and monitors carbon footprints in individuals and communities, suggesting sustainable actions.
This paper presents EcoTrack, a cloud-integrated and AI-assisted system designed to estimate, monitor, and reduce individual and community-level carbon footprints. The proposed system addresses the lack of awareness of personal emissions by enabling users to input daily lifestyle activities such as transportation, energy use and dietary choices and convert it into measurable carbon data using standardized emission factors. The system integrates an AI-based assistant that provides personalized sustainability recommendations and actionable steps to reduce environmental impact. Additionally, Ecotrack incorporates community-based features including leaderboards and challenges to foster engagement and encourage sustainable behavior. The results show that such systems play an important role in bridging the gap between data and action for climate change mitigation.
