Mathematical framework quantifies welfare in a post-scarcity economy, suggesting improved outcomes for all.
n this paper I provide a systematic mathematical and philosophical metric for the post-scarcity world created by the confluence of the Tech Stack (AI/AGI/ASI + Robotics + Fusion/Dyson swarms + Reusable Launch Vehicles) plus mystical practice to prepare for the merger of humans and ASI. Building on the mathematically rigorous framework developed by Hossenfelder (2013), I show that the objective cardinality of future possibilities (#H) replaces both GDP and subjective utility as the natural welfare measure. I review the historical arc from Bentham through Pareto, Rawls, van Praag, Ng, and Kornienko, then demonstrate via a toy numerical model how #H explodes from ∼ 2 × 104 to ∼ 6.55 × 1014 histories in just a few steps once scarcity is removed. The toy model is then scaled to a full agent-based simulation with interdependent inventories and new-good creation. I also provide baseline #H estimates using real-world data and explore the policy implications for the transition period. The result satisfies Rawls’s difference principle and Kant’s categorical imperative: the floor of possibilities is raised for every agent without trade-offs. In the abundance economy, the only remaining optimization is Hossenfelder’s rate of possibility expansion (2013, p. 296): Q(t) = ln P [S(t)].
