Abstract From machining scrap to recycled powders and polymers, upcycling is rapidly moving into mainstream additive manufacturing. It reduces dependence on virgin feedstock while enabling local, closed-loop manufacturing. This article is an overview of the processes, current state, impacts, and future view.
