In this study, a model was proposed to describe the CO2 curing of concrete. Then, it examined the effects of several factors, including preconditioning parameters, compaction pressure, CO2 concentration and pressure on CO2 curing kinetics of concrete compacts. Results indicated that a dry preconditioning before CO2 curing was critical for compacted concrete samples to achieve high CO2 curing degree. An increase in CO2 concentration in the gas increased the CO2 curing degree and compressive strength. The higher the CO2 pressure, the higher the CO2 curing degree and the compressive strength. Analyses indicated that the experimental results obtained under different conditions fit the CO2 curing kinetics model very well.
