Electrochemistry is defined as the branch of chemistry that examines the phenomena resulting from combined chemical and electrical effects. This paper covers some of the common voltammetry techniques which are currently in use. Cyclic voltammetry is a widely used technique in electrochemistry .The cyclic voltammetry is a powerful tool to study the electrochemical behavior of a system by systematic study of current-voltage measurements of a given electrochemical cell. Brief study of cyclic voltammetry and the analysis of an electrochemical cell from cyclic voltammogramis described.
