SiliaCat: A Versatile Catalyst Series for Synthetic Organic Chemistry

Reviewing selected applications of the recently developed SiliaCat catalyst series to synthetic organic chemistry, we show the large applicative scope of these multipurpose sol–gel entrapped catalysts, which are increasingly adopted for manufacturing useful products such as active pharmaceutical ingredients, cis-only hydrogenated fats, silanes, anilines, fragrances, and emollients.
