Yep is Professor of Communication Studies, Core Faculty of Sexuality Studies, and Faculty in the Ed. D. Program in Educational Leadership at San Francisco State University. In addition to three books and a book-length monograph, he has authored more than ninety articles in (inter)disciplinary journals and anthologies. He is recipient of numerous teaching, research, and community awards, including the 2015 Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) Leroy F. Aarons Award for significant contributions to LGBT media education and research.
