A pair of large bubbles rising side-by-side from rest are studied numerically in 3D. The bubble wakes interact, causing the bubbles to rise in a spiral path. The interaction leads to a mirror symmetry in bubble trajectories which persists for a while even at high inertia when the paths are chaotic.
