Abstract

Well-defined star-shaped gold nanoplates have been prepared by the reduction of HAuCl4 with l-ascorbic acid in the presence of poly(N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone), and the morphology and crystal growth of star-shaped gold nanoplates have been characterized in detail.
