The zinc finger homeobox 2 (ZFH-2) transcriptional regulators and their homologues represent a highly conserved class of large regulators characterised by multiple homeodomains and C2H2-type zinc fingers. In their work, Oliver Hobert and colleagues characterise the expression patterns of the Caenorhabditis elegans representative of ZFH-2 throughout development and adulthood. To learn more about their work, we talked to the first authors Antoine Sussfeld, Berta Vidal and Surojit Sural, as well as the corresponding author, Oliver Hobert, Professor at the Department of Biological Sciences, The Columbia University Department of Systems Biology, USA.
