This strategy demonstrates efficient frequency restoration and power sharing in islanded microgrids, suggesting improved communication efficiency.
An event‐triggered distributed secondary control strategy is proposed for islanded microgrids to achieve communication‐efficient frequency restoration and accurate power sharing. Leveraging an undirected graph to model the multi‐agent network, the method integrates droop control with feedback linearization to compensate voltage and frequency deviations and to re‐allocate power under mismatched line impedances. A hybrid triggering policy combining a centralized global error threshold with distributed local dynamic thresholds initiates data exchange only when necessary, drastically reducing communication load. Lyapunov stability analysis guarantees asymptotic convergence of the frequency to its nominal reference, while an analytically derived minimum inter‐event time precludes Zeno behavior. Extensive MATLAB simulations validate the scheme's robustness and effectiveness across diverse operating scenarios.
