Over recent years, the proportion of adults in England reporting single and multiple noncombustible nicotine product use has risen, with the prevalence of single product use almost tripling and multiple product use doubling. There is also a need for further research to understand how different patterns of noncombustible nicotine use may affect people's motivation to stop smoking or success in quitting.
