Common femoral artery (CFA) exposure is a critical component of many open vascular procedures, yet it continues to carry a substantial risk of wound complications including seroma formation, lymphatic leak, delayed wound healing, and surgical site infection. With the growing adoption of energy-based vessel sealing technology, the LigaSure bipolar system (Medtronic, Minneapolis, MN) has gained attention as a device that may enhance procedure efficiency while mitigating lymphatic related morbidity.
