This theoretical framework demonstrates selective tumor cell destruction in cancer, suggesting non-invasive treatment methods.
We propose a theoretical framework for the selective destruction of cancer cells by targeted acoustic resonance, based on the spectral attenuation operator k_G. This work demonstrates that the well-documented differences in mechanical properties between healthy and cancer cells allow the prediction of distinct resonance frequencies for each cell type. By emitting an acoustic wave at the specific resonance frequency of cancer cells, it is theoretically possible to selectively destroy them without affecting adjacent healthy tissues, without chemical agents, without ionizing radiation, and without surgery.
