The paper provides a short overview of the current state and prospects of experimental searches for neutrino signals from core-collapse Supernova explosions (ccSNs). The expected rate of ccSNs in the Galaxy obtained by means of different methods is disscused. The current status of the experiment to search for neutrino bursts from ccSNs at the Baksan Underground Scintillation Telescope (BUST) is presented.
