Abstract Inguinal hernia is commonly treated through surgical intervention in allopathic system. This case study presents a 42-year-old male patient, from Kolkata, India, who was suffering from inguinal hernia and experiencing significant discomfort in daily life. The disease was defined using the Naturopathy Disease Definition System (NDDS) as toxin accumulation in the intestine leading to weakening of the lower abdominal wall. A detailed root cause analysis was conducted through the Root Cause Diagnosis System (RCDS) using structured questionnaires. Based on this, a personalized naturopathy treatment protocol was prescribed for 3 months without any medicine or surgery. The patient followed all guidelines with discipline and remained in continuous WhatsApp communication. After completion of treatment, the patient reported complete relief from swelling, pain, and associated symptoms. Follow-up confirmed restoration of normal function and no recurrence. This case suggests that root cause–based naturopathy may provide a non-surgical approach in selected cases of inguinal hernia.
